A Golden Season

The wildflowers and energetic festival season of summer have been replaced by explosive autumn colors and throngs of roadside photographers. White capped peaks juxtaposed against golden aspen and red oak is absolutely dazzling and captivating… tempting to say this is the most spectacular fall ever!

Along with fall’s exhibit of splendid colors, it is also a transitional time – warm Indian summer days mixed with brief wintery storms, providing a beautiful contrast to the eye and the lens. Here are some glimpses:

 

As of this posting, there are only 56 days left till Opening Day on the ski area. But there are  pumpkins and turkeys to carve before making those turns.
