Hard to imagine snow as we bask in this seemingly endless Indian summer. But, as they say, we are only one good storm away from winter. Meanwhile, we are doing our best to prepare, knowing it’s only a matter of when, not if.
Here’s a few photos of winter preparations in Gray Head along with images of our Indian summer, coupled with a few winter teases. The shots of attaching the plow to the truck, putting chains on the backhoe, and the first snow shovel and road plow of the season will have to wait until the next blog update.
The official opening day of the Telluride ski area is less than 2 weeks away… hopefully there’s a winter storm preparing to greet us between now and Thanksgiving. If not, we’ll give thanks for a bonus Indian summer and an extended hiking season!
Cheers to all.
